Drivesafe tyre sealant is provided with a tyre valve tool and usage instructions, all contained in a user-friendly pouch that attaches over the tyre valve. Follow the supplied instructions for application.

For pre-puncture application, Drivesafe tyre sealant is inserted into the wheel through the valve. As the wheel begins to rotate, the product spreads forward, coating the inner lining of the tyre's tread area, serving as a protective barrier against punctures. If a foreign object pierces the tyre and breaches this coating, the air pressure forces the sealant into the puncture, creating a self-sealing tyre and allowing continued driving, thereby reducing the risks associated with changing wheels on the roadside.

The immediate sealing of punctures while driving maintains the tyre's correct pressure, preventing additional heat accumulation that could lead to tyre failure. Maintaining proper pressure maximizes the tyre's tread life, as under-inflated tyres negatively affect vehicle stability, handling at high speeds, and increase tread wear. In fact, heat build-up from underinflation is the leading cause of tyre failure.

This product is engineered to seal punctures ranging from 3-5mm within the tyre's crown area. The durability of the seal depends on the extent of damage inflicted by the foreign object, as no two puncture wounds are identical. The variety of objects on the roads means that some may remain lodged in the tread or be expelled, leaving an open wound, with the size of the object affecting the seal's lifespan.
